Darrell K. Beaulieu, Chief Executive Officer, Denendeh Investments Incorporated

Mr. Beaulieu is from Yellowknife, capital of the Northwest Territories and has served three terms as the Chief of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation. As President and CEO of Denendeh Investments Incorporated, an investment arm of the 27 Dene First Nations of the NWT, Mr. Beaulieu provides the leadership, vision and public presence. Mr. Beaulieu has served on many private and public boards advancing Indigenous interests in the NWT and across Canada, including Indspire and as  Chairman of the NWT Business Development Investment Corporation from 2005 to 2019. He is currently  Spokesperson for the NWT Indigenous Leaders Economic Coalition.  

Greg J. Nyuli, Secretary of the Board, Denendeh Investments Incorporated

Mr. Nyuli has been on the Denendeh Development Corporation Board since 1994 and the Denendeh Investments Inc. Board since its’ inception in 2006.  He is currently Manager, Northern Development for Norzinc/Canadian Zinc based out of Ft. Simpson, N.T.  Mr. Nyuli served two terms as Chief of Deh Gah Got’ie Dene Council in the 90’s and was Regional Negotiator for Dehcho Tribal Council from 1988 to 1990.  Greg has also served in management, economic development and resource management positions for many First Nations over the years.

Loraine M. Charlton, Board Member, Canadian Utilities Limited

Prior to her retirement in November 2022, Loraine Charlton was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Lintus Resources Limited, a private oil and gas company with interests across Western Canada. With over three decades of experience in the oil and gas industry, Ms. Charlton has held various positions involving responsibility for directing overall management, including financial reporting, banking, debt and treasury management, investor relations, risk management, human resources, operations and strategy.

Ms. Charlton is also a director of CU Inc. and AKITA Drilling Ltd.

Ms. Charlton graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance.  She also holds the Corporate Director Designation (ICD.D) from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Robert J. Normand, Board Member, Canadian Utilities Limited

Mr. Normand retired in October 2015 as Chair of the Workers Compensation Board of Alberta, the agency which administers workplace insurance for the workers and employers of the Province of Alberta. In 2008, he retired from the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Alberta Treasury Branches ("ATB"). Prior to joining ATB as Executive Vice-President Sales in 1996, he was employed by the Bank of Montreal for 26 years and held line and credit executive positions in Quebec, Ontario and Alberta.

Through his experience in the financial services sector, he has developed extensive knowledge and expertise in the areas of finance, regulatory matters and risk management.

Mr. Normand is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers and holds a B.A. (Econ.) from Sir George Williams University and an M.B.A. from Concordia University.

David Stokes, CFO, Denendeh Investments Incorporated

David joined Denendeh Investments Inc. in June 2012. Prior to joining DII, David worked in public practice providing a broad range of financial services including: audit services, financial reporting, personal and corporate income taxes and special consulting engagements. 

David qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2011.  He was invited to mark the Chartered Accountants’ Uniform Final Examination in Montreal in October 2011.

Prior to obtaining the CA designation David graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2008.

Nancy C. Southern, Chair & Chief Executive Officer of ATCO Ltd.

Nancy Southern is Executive Chair of Canadian Utilities Limited, an ATCO Company, as well as Chair & Chief Executive Officer of ATCO Ltd. As Executive Chair of Canadian Utilities, Ms. Southern provides leadership to the Board of Directors to ensure continued strong governance on behalf of the Board, guiding Canadian Utilities' strategic direction, vision and ongoing operational success.

She also serves as Executive Vice President of Spruce Meadows Ltd. and is a founding Director of AKITA Drilling Ltd., a Director of Sentgraf Enterprises Limited, an Honorary Director of BMO Financial Group, and a Director Emeritus of the Rideau Hall Foundation.

Ms. Southern has long played a prominent role in advocating on social issues of global importance—most notably, the rights of Indigenous peoples and the role of women in business. She is an Honorary Chief of the Kainai (Blood Tribe of Alberta) who bestowed the name Aksistoowa'paakii, or Brave Woman, upon her in 2012.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Southern has served with many respected business and academic organizations. She is a member of the Business Council of Canada, the American Society of Corporate Executives, and is a Canadian member of the Trilateral Commission. She is also a member of the University of Calgary School of Public Policy Advisory Council.

Ms. Southern is the recipient of numerous honours for her community leadership and commitment to democratic principles and free enterprise. In 2025, Ms. Southern was honoured with the King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition for her outstanding services to Alberta, Canada, and her fellow citizens, noting her pivotal role in shaping industry and community progress. In 2024, she was honoured as a member of the Alberta Order of Excellence, the highest honour the Province of Alberta can bestow on a citizen. In 2023, Ms. Southern received the Lifetime Business Achievement in the Americas Award from the Canadian Council for the Americas and was named Energy Person of the Year by the Energy Council of Canada. In 2022, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce honoured her with the Canadian Business Leader Lifetime Achievement Award.
