Naka. ("nah-kah")
In most Dene First Nations languages, Naka is the word for the unique phenomenon known as the aurora borealis, or northern lights.
The late Dene Chief Edward Sangris once spoke of the northern lights as a powerful beacon, connecting communities and guiding him home.
We are proud to say that’s what Naka Power Utilities (NWT) does. We deliver safe and reliable power to communities across the Northwest Territories, connecting neighbours and lighting their way.
